In November 2008 the Greek Interoperability Centre, after passing the relevant screening process, became an Associate to the Semantic Interoperability Centre Europe (SEMIC.eu). GIC and SEMIC have initiated their collaboration in the field of semantic interoperability for governments, focusing on methodologies and tools for developing reusable data components, based on the UN/CEFACT Core Components Technical Specification.
