The Greek Interoperability Centre
wishes to express its support to the FInES Position Paper on
"Orientations for FP8: A European Innovation Partnership for
Catalysing the Competitiveness of European Enterprises".
We, the GIC, believe that the
realisation of the Digital Single Market requires strong and
efficient interoperability among Europe's enterprises, a notion
specifically considered in the FInES Position Paper.
Therefore, we endorse the FInES
Position Paper and the recommendations proposed to support the
competitiveness of European Enterprises through co-ordinated
research. Achieving this outcome is the major challenge that calls
for a substantial research and development and innovation effort at
the European level, involving different disciplines.
