gic  3/28/2011

The Samos 2011 Summit on Future Internet is co-organised by the University of Aegean, the Greek Interoperability Centre of the National Technical University of Athens and the ENSEMBLE FP7 project - supportive action to the FINES Cluster, managed by European Commission - DGINSFO, in order to foster international cooperation and strive for a new research and practice agenda in future internet systems and services.

With an emphasis on Future Internet systems and services in the factory, in the enterprise and within a connected, inclusive society, the Samos Future Internet Summit will be a first-class opportunity to see, interact with and influence cutting-edge European ICT research projects and initiatives.

This is a meeting of high-level experts from all the sides of Future Internet for enterprises and society: industry meets talent and discovers customer needs, academia meets service development and practice and organizations meet citizen demand and technology for change. Top industry executives, administration officials and researchers have the opportunity to progress on ideas, discuss on the future trends and shape the research and practice agenda on reform through ICT

Participants will have the opportunity to join the Collaborative Workshops on (a) the new Research Roadmap on Future Internet Enterprise Systems, and (b) the Enterprise Interoperability Scientific Formulation, that are being prepared by the research community and the ENSEMBLE project partners and Experts Scientific Committee.

Also, participants will have the opportunity to exchange ideas with other relevant international research projects in the area of Future Internet Systems and Services, from a governance, societal or interoperability viewpoint.
